Design Collective | Dynamic Branding
Collaborative University Project
My team was tasked with creating a brand for ourselves to work under in preparation for the real world clients we would be working with.
I took lead in the project so that we could delegate and communicate more effectively. I will be describing my role in the team and key insights.

Deliverables: Branding | 2D Motion
The team was given 4 weeks to develop a dynamic brand and create all the assets we needed, ranging from a logo and a motion piece to collateral such as business cards.
Considering the lives of 4 busy students, IInitially I made the call for each of us to pick a name out of the list I compiled, research a visual style and take a week to develop those ideas before coming back together to make decisions.
I knew I would be in charge of the motion design aspect of the project, therefore I also took lead in the conceptual development of the brand and how it would visually function.
I needed to create a lot of visual elements to use in the motion design clip, which allowed me a lot of freedom when exploring those ideas in a visual manner.
The idea of the components of the name moving around had floated around, and attempts were made to work out the kinks in this idea, but not much progress was made until I realized we could draw inspiration from one of my favourite games as a kid, “Tetris”.
I created 16 variations of the logo which could be used as puzzle pieces, this is where the tagline “Better Together” found its origin. As a team we decided to use warm, saturated colours to contrast the retro aesthetic of the logos shape. I then created a few varaitions of posters, some collateral and a motion piece.
